The Community of Madrid leads Spain in terms of GDP per capita, where significant differences are observed that continue to highlight the traditional wealth gap between north and south . The Gross Domestic Product per capita in the Community of Madrid was the highest in the country in 2021, with 34,821 euros per inhabitant: 36.6% higher than the national average, which stands at 25,498 euros.
